Nick is a Partner at Fidelis Law.  He is licensed to practice in both Tennessee and Texas, as well as admitted to the United States District Courts for the Middle District and Western District of Tennessee; however, he currently serves as a full-time Executive Pastor of a local church where he assists with administration, discipleship, preaching, and teaching. Although he has served clients with a variety of legal needs for more than 15 years, due to his schedule as an Executive Pastor, he now handles selected estate planning, probate, non-profit/church law, automobile/personal injury cases, and contractual matters.

Nick is the Founder and President of Compassionate Counsel, a 501(c)(3) Christian legal aid ministry (www.compassionatecounsel.org). Compassionate Counsel serves as an access to legal resources in multiple locations in and around Nashville. Compassionate Counsel hosted its first ministry clinic in January 2012, and to date, the ministry’s volunteers have served hundreds.

Nick serves as a committee member for the Tennessee Supreme Court Access to Justice Commission’s Faith-Based Initiative Committee and is a member of the Christian Legal Society, Tennessee Bar Association, and State Bar of Texas.

Nick earned his Juris Doctorate from the University of Tennessee College of Law in December 2004 and subsequently passed the February 2005 Tennessee Bar Exam. While at UT Law School, he served as president of the law school’s Christian Legal Society chapter, assisted with the Pro Bono Homeless Project, worked as a research assistant to a professor, and clerked for a local attorney.  He received Academic Excellence awards for his work in Trial Practice and Advanced Ethics.

Nick graduated summa cum laude from Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2001. While at SFA, he served with a number of campus organizations, and he graduated from SFA’s School of Honors. Nick also holds a Master of Arts degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Nick is married to Kristin, and they have three children. They are actively involved in various ministry projects locally, mission work internationally, and family activities together.
